Fionn's Window comes from the Ancient Irish 'Book of Ballymote' and relates to the magical Ogham alphabet written about so eloquently by Robert Graves in 'The White Goddess'. Fionn's Window represents the skills of the legendary Irish hero, poet and seer Fionn mac Cumhail. The design includes the 25 letters of the magical Ogham alphabet arranged around 5 circles, representing the levels of the Celtic Otherworld as well as the organization of the Oghams into five sets of five. Thus the four words at each of the four directions are the first named trees in the sets of Ogham letters. They are Beith (Birch), Huathe (Hazel), Muin (Vine) and Ailm (Willow). This talisman can enhance the visionary abilities of those who wear it.
Meticulously crafted from fine sterling silver, the Fionn 's Window Round Silver Pendant features the high quality, detailed engraving, and shining finish exemplified by the fine craftsmanship of Peter Stone Artisans.
