What Jewelry/Jewellery Means to Me

In 1990 I discovered a creativity within myself that I began to express through the magical metal of silver. Soon I began to work in yellow gold, then multi-colored gold in combination with the silver. I assembled a team of people to help bring my creations to life. Soon I noticed people expressing appreciation of our work, and I began to get letters of thanks. This all gave me a great sense of satisfaction and encouraged me to expand the range of jewelry we created.

Through time I discovered that I could work in many dimensions. I could synch my creativity with my varied life interests. My jewelry began to take on new dimensions.

Celtic jewelry, through themes such as knotwork, shows how all of life is integrated and interconnected.
Dolphin and Whale jewelry express how man and animal are so closely related.

Wildlife themes inspired by Ted Andrews and his many books added another dimension. And so on.

Symbols in Jewelry

I have discovered the diversity that makes up the world to be a truly intriguing and interesting topic. I have chosen to create jewelry based on many of the symbols revered by mankind through the ages. In past times, the true meaning and power behind many of these symbols was hidden for fear of prosecution, punishment, or death.

Today, we’re fortunate to be able to express ourselves and wear jewelry bearing whichever symbols we choose.

Jewelry is an expression of emotion and lifestyle…of the many facets of life. To me jewelry goes beyond a shiny shape of metal; it has meaning beyond its material value.

Small, Valuable and Powerful

As the price of gold and silver climb so does the value of jewelry. I like jewelry because it is small and transportable. I wear or carry some of my favorite pieces with me almost all of the time. I find a special power in the pieces I create and have. If I have a special message I wish to carry I do that with Jewelry so that it reminds me of the focus I wish to keep.

Jewelry: meaningful, valuable, expressive…it is no wonder we all own some!
