Traveling the World
While working aboard ships in the merchant marines, I lived the life many people dream of: I traveled the world. It was an interesting life, and I loved exploring new places. But what I found in exotic ports fascinated me more than the work. In these ports I came across the classic treasures of exotic stones and precious metals. The year was 1983. The place, Sri Lanka.
Soon my travels exposed me to opportunities to buy silver and gems at every port. This passion consumed me. I traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan, trading silver for emeralds. Then I returned to the United States and began to sell jewelry door to door. With an insatiable drive to deepen my understanding of jewelry, I enrolled in a gemology course in Thailand. I expanded my education, receiving certifications in Belgium, Great Britain, and the United States.
My Dream Comes to Life
Finally, in 1992 I realized my dream. I opened a manufacturing plant in Thailand. In that factory we only used the finest .925 sterling silver, carefully chose the finest gemstones and hand polished each creation. Before long we started selling quality jewelry worldwide as the Peter Stone Company. Retailers and wholesalers worldwide began to notice. As this dream became reality, my vision grew, and so did my company. Today we are one of the world’s leading suppliers of Celtic jewelry, and our diverse sterling silver jewelry lines are popular among the Celtic, New Age, pagan, Christian, diving and sailing communities.
Maintaining High Standards of Quality
Today I personally oversee our production to ensure the highest quality result. I carefully select and purchase the gems for our various designs. Our artisans continue to hand-polish each piece as a work of art. This direct oversight and attention to quality ensure that the company I founded nearly 20 years ago continues to exceed our customers’ expectations.

I have been a fan of your line for a little over a decade when I first discovered your works in Ocean City, MD. My husband and I went to your folks in DE to help us design our wedding bands back in 2003. We get so many compliments on our rings and we always let folks know that they are Peter Stone creations.

So nice that your dream has come true. I vividly remember meeting you back in 1991 in your little shop off the boardwalk in O.C. I liked your shop and said so, I also commented that I had just graduated from college with a B.A. in jewelry design to which you asked what I though the next direction in jewelry would be. I replied that I saw the celtic/new age jewelry as the next big thing. I was right!!! I am glad your plan to open workshops in Thailand worked out. I am still in jewelry and giftwares all these years later and would love to talk again!
