In Memory of Ted Andrews

I was first introduced to the name Ted Andrews in an Animal Wise book. I found the stories and messages very interesting and they seemed to sync with me. Then I felt that this energy could be turned into talismans of jewelry. I wondered who is this connected individual and how can I contact him?

Later I turned to Ted’s Animal Wise book with more interest and intrigue. I was pulled forward and inspired. I could envision a beautiful collection of these animals as Peter Stone creations. The book still remained in my bookcase for another two years as I kept looking through the book and the writings.

I finally met Ted at the International New Age Trade Show in Denver, Colorado. He was a totally approachable and connected soul who beamed with vibrant energy and a radiating smile. Ted and I discussed creating a line to reflect the feeling and energy of the most influential animals in our daily lives. We continued to discuss the project well after the show, and talked about how Ted would feel best represented. It came to the point that Ted more or less commissioned Peter Stone to Create the items and Ted would give me feedback necessary to get the most powerful positions of each specific animal, reptile or insect. We worked on the project for perhaps six months then we finally came to agreement on the images we would use for the jewelry. Once done, we transformed these into magnificent pieces of Sterling silver jewelry.

Ted’s input and expansive knowledge coupled with Peter Stone’s superb ability to meet with great minds and capture their ideas, concepts and energy then transform them to Precious metals, created one of Peter Stone’s Best Selling Collections. It is no wonder why; the line is in total synchronicity with the Life Force that is us…and is of us.

A timeless collection has been created from the great wealth of information and energy that Ted has brought us all. The wearers of these special pieces of jewelry just love the detail and the power of the pieces coupled with the precious metals that befit Ted’s knowledge.

I am honored to be a part of this tribute to Nature’s Life Force that influences our daily lives. You can enjoy this fabulous collection at www.peterstone.com

Ted Andrews: Résumé of an Icon

Ted Andrews’s photo should be posted in the dictionary under the word “multi-talented.” As we honor the passing of this world-renowned author, teacher, and spiritualist, we cannot help but be astonished at the breadth of his accomplishments. Though we here at Peter Stone know him best as the brilliant inspiration behind the Animal Speak collection, we must admit that his flair for jewelry design is only one of his many gifts.

With a mere 57 years between his birth in 1952 and his untimely death in October 2009, Ted made every single moment count. Though he began his career as an English teacher, he never failed to explore an area of interest, and more often than not his hobbies morphed into the passions of a lifetime.

Respected Teacher

Of the ten years he spent working in the school district as a teacher and counselor, 7 of those years were spent working with disadvantaged students… and led to the development of a special needs reading program that earned him state recognition. From that point on, recognition was something that Ted simply had to accept—he was too extraordinary to NOT attract attention.

Mystic and Healer

Long years of intensive studies of the occult and spirituality eventually led to his recognition as an international leader in the metaphysical and psychic fields, and his list of qualifications grew to include certified spiritualist medium and healer. He was a clairvoyant and also worked with past-life analysis, aura interpretation, dreams, numerology, and Tarot. His passion for holistic healing led him to study herbology and music therapy, and pursue certification in the areas of acupressure and hypnotherapy.

International Author

His foray into writing gained him a second career and a world-wide following. With over 40 books translated into 24 languages, Ted channeled his interest in the esoteric and occult into a veritable library of spiritual titles, including Animal Speak, How to See and Read the Aura, Simplified Qabala Magick, The Healer’s Manual, and Dream Alchemy. A complete list of his books can be found on his website. His works have earned him more Visionary Awards than any other author, ever.

Acclaimed Speaker

When you couple Ted’s accomplishments with his penchant for teaching, his popularity as a public speaker was certainly no surprise. He regularly spoke at seminars and workshops, conducted symposiums, and gave lectures all over the country on varied aspects of mysticism—and his in-demand speeches were always sold out. His focus was the translation of esoteric material into everyday language that could be easily assimilated by his audiences. In addition to in-person appearances, he’s been featured on television and radio programs countless times. He even had the honor of being invited to speak to the UNSRC at the United Nations in New York about his writing and his work with animals.

Animal Advocate

Ted’s affection and respect for animals might well have been his most well-known characteristic. He held state and federal permits to work with birds of prey, and frequently performed wildlife rescues, rehabilitation, and education. Always the teacher, Ted enjoyed bringing animals into classrooms to conduct volunteer educational and storytelling programs for students of all ages, sharing his joy at the wonders of nature. This profound love of animals was the driving inspiration that led him to work with Peter Stone on the Animal Speak collection.

Renaissance Man

Unbelievable as it may be, there’s more. Ted Andrews, the ultimate Man of Many Facets, was also a trained musician, composing and performing (and producing!) the musical backgrounds for his audio recordings. He played the piano well and the violin and fiddle well enough. He also studied sacred dance, ballet, and ballroom dancing.

Paying Tribute

Ted’s death in October 2009 was nothing short of a tragedy for his family, his animals, his students, his followers, his fans, and very possibly the entire world. His limitless passion was equaled only by his desire to reach out and share his vision, and he spent his life touching as many other lives as he could, in as many ways as he could find. From those of us who have been touched by the strength of his character or the truth of his words, we offer this moment of remembrance.

Condolences

Calling Ted Andrews a “Man of Many Facets” is an inadequate tribute; in truth, he was an icon. If fans are interested in paying their condolences, his family has publicized their wish that, in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to your favorite animal rescue or humane society or Ted’s favorite:
